    A vacancy currently exists for 1x Buyer: Supply Chain Management (SCM) at Garden Route National Park for a Fixed Term period of 12 Months. The successful candidate will be responsible for supply chain management in the park and will report to the Practitioner: Supply Chain Management. The position is based in Knysna, the successful candidate will be responsible for securing their own accommodation, as official accommodation within the park is not provided.     Requirements

    Grade 12 Certificate NQF Level 6 qualification (National Diploma) in Supply Chain Management/Procurement/Logistics or a relevant finance related qualification 2 – 3 years relevant experience in Supply Chain Management/Financial administrative environment Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Packages including Excel Working knowledge of Great Plains financial system will be an added advantage A working knowledge of relevant legislation, including PFMA; PPPFA; SANParks Policies, General Procurement Guidelines Excellent written and verbal communications skills; and Applicants must be flexible and be able to meet tight deadlines and work without supervision

    Duties

    Support And Administer Procurement Processes Advertise, compile, and conduct the screening of RFQs up to R500,000. Compile the necessary evaluation forms and memos. Coordinate evaluation meetings with end users. Provide secretarial support for evaluation meetings. Assist with the facilitation of negotiations for RFQs below R500,000. Source suppliers through the Central Supplier Database (CSD). Assist with the processing of invoices and payments. Check SCM compliance in accordance with National Treasury Regulations and SCM policies and procedures. Verify that all submitted documentation complies with relevant legislation, as well as internal and external financial policies, processes, and regulations.  Procurement And Demand Management Provide administrative support throughout the bid and quotation processes in accordance with the Demand Management Plan. Generate purchase orders.  Records And Reporting Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of Standard Bidding Documents. Maintain records of all received requisitions. Maintain and submit SCM registers to the Practitioner: SCM monthly.  Contract Monitoring Monitor contract management activities and maintain contract registers. Assist with updating contract registers, including expenditure information. Coordinate monthly contract management meetings. Issue formal notices to end users regarding contract expiry dates and expenditure. Send contract expiry notices to service providers. Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor. Attention to detail
