The Business Analyst is responsible for delivering high-quality business analysis services across multiple, concurrent software application development initiatives, with a strong emphasis on innovation, digital transformation, and system modernisation. The role serves as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring that business needs are effectively translated into scalable, future-fit technology solutions. The incumbent will play a key role in driving modernisation efforts, including the replacement or enhancement of legacy systems, introduction of new digital capabilities, and optimisation of business processes through technology. The Business Analyst is expected to contribute to continuous improvement and innovation by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, enable automation, improve user experience, and support data-driven decision-making. This includes actively participating in solution ideation, evaluating emerging technologies, and contributing to the design of modern, integrated, and sustainable application architectures.
Working across multiple projects simultaneously, the incumbent will:
·Facilitate the alignment of business strategy with technology delivery
·Ensure requirements are aligned to enterprise architecture standards and modernisation roadmaps
·Promote best practices in business analysis, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration
The role requires a highly experienced professional who is capable of operating in complex, high-impact environments, delivering analysis that supports innovative solutions and long-term digital transformation objectives, while maintaining strong governance, quality, and traceability standards.
Key Responsibilities:
·Lead business analysis across multiple concurrent projects.
·Elicit, analyse, and document business and system requirements.
·Produce high-quality documentation including Business Requirements Documents, Functional Specifications, User Stories and Process Maps.
·Facilitate stakeholder workshops and engagement sessions.
·Translate business requirements into functional specifications for development teams.
·Support SDLC phases including design, development, testing and UAT.
·Support the UAT process by providing guidance and clarifying requirement ambiguities.
·Maintain requirements traceability.
·Conduct gap analysis and process improvement activities.
·Analyse and map current and future-state business processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
·Facilitate process redesign and optimisation initiatives aligned with business objectives and technology solutions.
·Define process measures, controls, and performance indicators to support continuous improvement.
Key Deliverables
·Business and functional requirements documentation.
·Process maps and workflow diagrams.
·Stakeholder engagement outputs.
·Traceability matrices and UAT support artefacts.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
·Ensure all processes align with organisational governance, compliance, and audit standards.
·Maintain audit-ready documentation for process changes and digital initiatives.
·Support internal and external audits by providing process evidence, metrics, and controls.
·Embed quality, risk management, and controls into process design.

Qualifications & Experience:
·Relevant Degree / Diploma in IT, Business Analysis, Information Systems; OR Matric with 10 years’ experience and a recognised Business Analysis certification (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA).
·Minimum 10 years’ relevant Business Analysis experience within Software Application Development environments.
·Process Engineering background and experience would be beneficial and preferred.
·Proven experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.
