Requirements
A three-year tertiary qualification (NQF level 7) as recognised by SAQA in Auditing/Accounting//Compliance or Risk Management. A Postgraduate Diploma in Compliance will be an added advantage. Appropriate 3-5 years’ experience in the public sector in areas of Auditing, Compliance Management and or risk management at a functional level. Understanding of the Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, Public Service Act. Demonstrated ability to apply governance frameworks, interpret legislation, and support organisational accountability through structured compliance oversight.
Duties
To facilitate the creation of GPG Public Entities, Trading Entities and Government Components as well as to monitor and report on compliance with good governance component. Support Entities in Compliance Management; Provide guidance for the development of a compliance universe and the categorization of acts within it for the GPG entities; Assist in reviewing and finalizing Compliance Risk Management Plans (CRMP); Coordinate PFMA requests by providing advice to the Head of Department through a formal letter; Facilitate the establishment of new entities; Review and Improve Banking and Governance Arrangement; Provide oversight on the Implementation of governance framework for Public Entities operating in Provincial sphere: Assist with tracking and monitoring the implementation of Compliance Risk Management Action plans and the AGSA Audit recommendations for GPG Entities; Provide training to GPG Entities as requested or as identified by the unit; Legislative Review & Compliance Risk Management; Capacity Building & Awareness, Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory Support and eLearning Compliance Training; Management of the unit.
