ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER: PROVINCIAL CRIME PREVENTION STRATEGY & VOLUNTEER PROGRAMME

• Coordinate the Integrated Crime and Prevention Strategy.
• Facilitate the recruitment and registration of YCOP participants.
• Update / Verifications of YCOP members on the Database and arrangement of workshops.
• Coordinate the implementation of Rural Safety Workshops.
• Provide administrative support to the directorate.

• A National Senior Certificate / an equivalent plus an appropriate undergraduate qualification (NQF 6) in Social

Sciences/Public Administration/Research/Criminology/Policing or an equivalent qualification in the relevant field / area as recognized by the South African Qualification Authority SAQA).

• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the same or related field.
• Valid driver’s license (except for persons with disabilities).

Knowledge of policies that inform Crime Prevention: NCPS and PCPS, Knowledge of relevant legislations, Knowledge on the operation of SAPS, Knowledge of Policies related to Community Safety partnerships, Record keeping skills, Problem solving skills, Communication skills, Report writing skills, Presentation skills, Conflict Management skills, Policy analysing skills, Pro-activeness, Honesty, Team player, Responsiveness, Willing to work under pressure, Batho Pele Principles, Computer literacy.
