    Requirements

    Duties

    PURPOSE OF THE POSITION The purpose of this role is to provide dedicated support to the Research Office of the NWU Business. The role ensures accurate documentation, effective communication with students and supervisors, and efficient organisation of research- related events. This position plays a part in maintaining the quality and integrity of the School’s research administration processes. The Administrative Officer ensures smooth execution of research administration tasks and acts as key support to students, supervisors, examiners, and the Research Support Coordinator. The person will give general and administrative support to the Research Office in general, but also specifically to the PHD hub. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: General AdministrationProcess PhD applications and support with registrations.Capture and verify applications data on SIS.Liaise with students, supervisors, and programme leaders on research queries.Support with meeting agendas and workshops.PhD Hub SupportProcess applications and support with registrations.Administrative tasks and records management.Hosting of workshops and meetings.Support with ethics applications.  Workshops and meetings administrationHost workshops and meetings.Support with compiling different agendas for meetings.Post meetings action of tasks.Records and Data ManagementBuilding and maintaining the examiners' database for the Scientific Committees.Building and maintaining the Supervision loads database.Building and maintaining the Supervision throughput database.
