    Department: Transport & Fleet Management Department (2019)

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Grade 12
    • Diploma in Public Administration/ Public Management
    • Computer Literacy
    • 2 years' experience in similar environment

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate and administer the fleet administrative functions in the department
    • Maintain accurate records of municipal vehicles, plant and equipment
    • Administer vehicle allocation records, maintenance fleet files and coordinate vehicle licensing and registration processes
    • Monitor fleet insurance documentation and maintain vehicle logbooks and utilisation records
    • Coordinate fleet maintenance, coordinate inspections and ensure fleet availability, reliability and operational efficiency
    • Ensure effective administration of the fleet section, optimise resource utilization and compliance with the procedures
    • Coordinate procurement process and ensure compliance with Supply Chain Management procedures and uninterrupted fleet operations
    • Maintain and update fleet asset register, and assist with annual fleet audits
    • Prepare various reports monthly i.e. fleet utilisation reports, maintenance reports, expenditure reports etc to ensure informed decision making and performance monitoring
