Job requirementsTo be considered for this position, candidates must have: a Grade 12 certificate or an equivalent qualification; two to five years’ experience in a cleaning services environment or a related utilities environment;experience in supervising staff; anda valid driver’s licence. The following would be an added advantage:a certificate in Facilities Management. Duties
Detailed descriptionThe main purpose of this position is to manage building operations at the Cape Town Cash Centre of the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) and ensure its hygiene and cleanliness.The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas: Manage the performance and development of the service worker team.Oversee cleaning services to maintain hygienically clean building.Coordinate and supervise the work of service providers for all utility-related services in the building and report on their performance.Supervise the loading and offloading of consignments.Deploy and supervise staff in the cash-handling and equipment-handling areas and in the stores.Procure and issue staff uniforms.Procure, issue and control the use of cleaning materials. Receive and issue linen and clothing to and from the laundry service providers. Ensure adherence to health and safety standards in line with statutory requirements.Provide management information to the Cape Town Cash Centre Building Engineer, monthly for decision-making purposes. Conduct housekeeping inspections and ensure proper remedial actions are taken on the identified areas.Ensure and enforce adherence to the waste management process.Address any gaps in own performance of tasks and activities against the required standard.T
