Salary: R 623 199. 24 per annum (Job level 06)
Job Purpose: The job purpose of Testing Officer is to test driver’s licences, and conduct eye tests
and test vehicle for roadworthiness.
Key performance areas: The Testing Officer must ensure that the daily work is done to
satisfaction and to achieve the objectives of Council. He/she will be responsible for: • Test
candidates for driver’s license • Coordinate authorisation of conversion or renewal of driver’s
and PRDP licences • Perform road worthiness tests of vehicles • Inspect equipment to determine

any faults and the checking of inventory Facilitate public queries and enquiries in terms of
licence and vehicle testing.
Requirements: : National Diploma in Transport Management, Vehicle Inspector Diploma,
Examiner of Driver’s and Learner’s Licences Diploma, Registered as Grade A Testing Officer, A
and EC Driver’s Licence and Two (02) years testing experience.
