The Linkage Officer is responsible for facilitating smooth referral systems, managing the recruitment and retention strategy for study, including meeting recruitment and retention targets, stakeholder engagement, and promoting the study in the community.
Requirements
Education Enrolled Nursing certificate or equivalent qualification Valid registration with the South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nurse GCP Certificate Experience Minimum of two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience 3 years’ experience in clinical research and/or HIV/Aids and TB-related work At least 3 years’ experience in community education and engagement work Proficiency in English and Xhosa Advantageous Experience in utilizing recruitment and retention strategies
Duties
Establish and manage systems for client referrals to ensure seamless service delivery Proficiency in community outreach, engagement, and recruitment techniques. Adherence to study protocols, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines. Organizing community education sessions, stakeholder meetings, and recruitment initiatives. Proactive networking and relationship-building with stakeholders. Planning and executing recruitment campaigns and retention strategies. Identifying barriers to recruitment and implementing targeted interventions. Auditing participant engagement and retention metrics to refine strategies.
