Period: FIVE – MONTHS FIXED TERM
Requirements
Minimum 1 -2 Years relevant experience in a costume, wardrobe, fashion, theatre or related environment. Matric (NQF level 4)
Duties
Assist in the organisation and maintenance of costume and wardrobe stock. Prepare, pack, unpack, and check costumes and accessories for transport, touring, and storage purposes. Ensure costumes and wardrobe items are correctly labelled and tracked. Assist in maintaining accurate costume inventories and stock records. Clean, steam, iron, and prepare costumes and wardrobe items in accordance with established procedures. Conduct routine inspections of costumes to identify damage, wear and tear, or items requiring repair. Assist with minor costume repairs and alterations where required. Ensure costumes are stored in a clean, safe, and suitable environment to prolong their lifespan. Assist with the cataloguing and documentation of all costume and wardrobe assets. Capture and update costume information on inventory systems and databases. Maintain an orderly and accessible costume storage facility. Ensure all costumes, accessories, and related items are properly archived and stored.
