Provide finance business partnering and management accounting responsibilities in the organisation with specific emphasis on short-term (budgeting) and long-term planning, forecasting, reporting, financial performance analysis and ad-hoc financial services. Provide business partnering, advisory and support across Business units of the organisation on finance related matters. Formulate and manage the provision of financial information to internal and external stakeholders. Analyse information to make well informed decisions about the business financial performance to drive long term financial sustainability.
Requirements
Minimum RequirementsB com Degree or equivalent Finance qualification (NQF 7). NQF 8 in progress and/OR CIMA advantageous Minimum 5 years’ experience in Management Accounting/finance business partnering role. SAP and or BPC experience advantageous KnowledgeKnowledge of Statutory & regulatory requirements Knowledge and application of accounting standards Core knowledge in Budgeting and Forecasting processes Business Partnering and analysis Management Reporting competencies Financial Performance target setting, analysis and reporting. Duties
Prepare the overall planning and coordination of the Rand Water short and long term Financial Plan in line with strategic objectives of Rand Water and National directives Compliance with sound budgeting/accounting standards and practice and with applicable Rand Water policies, statutory and regulatory requirements; Apply the budgetary policy, controls and procedure changes in line with revised programs and objectives; Supports the Rand Water Business units, Divisions, Departments and Sections in strategic financial planning, monitoring, reporting and all other financial advisory services; Supporting business units to Meet financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; forecasts; analyzing variances and initiating and recommending corrective actions. Customer service orientation (Internal) Prepare and analyse the Management and Performance Reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis and timeous submission to governance structures. Prepare and analyse inputs to the Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF), Estimates of National Expenditure (ENE) and DWS reporting. Contribute to technological enhancements of the financial planning and reporting systems.
