To assist the Fund Principal in providing leadership and strategic vision for the fund investment business.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, or a relevant Commerce discipline. Postgraduate qualification (MBA/M. Com/MFI/MSc/CA/CFA/Engineering and/or any relevant Master’s degree) or currently in progress. 5-8 years of investment experience. Registered as a FAIS Representative. Strong negotiation and deal structuring skills. Proven ability to conduct industry and sector research. Advanced financial modelling proficiency. Experience in business and investment valuations.
Duties
Maximise funds committed for investment. Implement investment strategy and philosophy. Proactively identify investment partners and opportunities. Implement portfolio diversification strategy. Lead and manage the end-to-end investment process. Conduct deal screening and preliminary investment appraisals. Preliminary appraisal of deal. Deal structuring, pricing and negotiation of term sheet. Scope, coordinate, execute, and review due diligence processes. Conduct industry and sector research and analysis. Develop and present investment recommendations and motivate the investment thesis. Facilitation of contracting. Oversee investment disbursements. Prudently manage the investment portfolio while ensuring ESG principles are embedded throughout the investment lifecycle. Develop and implement value enhancement strategies at investee company level; Negotiate and manage investment exits. Ensure effective risk management, regulatory compliance, and reporting.
