EPWP Employment opportunity currently exists for 1 x Clerical Environmental Monitor within Golden Gate Highlands National Park. The above-stated position is a fixed-term contract up to the end of 31 March 2027. The appointed participant or Environmental Monitors will be paid a wage rate of R 406 per day as per Expanded Public Works Programme rates.
Requirements
Grade 12, NQF Level 4 Certificate. Diploma or National Higher Certificate in Human Resources Management or Equivalent. Minimum of one (1) Year relevant HR work. Computer Literacy (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc). Numeracy Skills. Relevant Knowledge of legislation, policies, regulations, procedures related to the field. The candidate must be discreet when handling confidential information. Proficient in English with good written and verbal/Presentation skills and other official languages. No criminal record – Candidates should provide SAPS Verification Certificate, must qualify in stipulated period. Own transport and accommodation (no staff housing is available). Preference will be given to applicants of local communities (proof of residence). Able to work independently with minimal supervision. No picture of Documents phone scan will be allowed. Preference will be given to persons aged between 18-35 years.
Duties
To ensure proper administration of all appointment, applications, resignations, promotions, transfers, retirements according to prescribed policies and procedures at all times. To check all Parks attendance registers. To ensure that the leave reconciliation is done consistently. To ensure death claims are done in time as per SANParks delegation framework. To ensure record management adhered. To ensure that all documents are filled in personnel files and kept updated at all times. To record minutes during department meetings and external stakeholders. To provide statistical data to the Human Capital Officer for preparation of monthly reports (appointments, death, promotions, leave etc. Assist with medical aid application. General administration. Assist with staff wellness campaigns. Willingness to do ADHOC duties.
