The School invites applications for the above position. Applicants should hold a coursework Masters in Economics with an excellent academic record and registered for PhD degree in Economics. This position is to strengthen capacity across the Economics and Applied Development Economics programmes. Therefore, the ideal candidate will be able to straddle teaching courses across heterodox and mainstream economics. For example, teaching the history of economic thought and economics/econometrics (using R Statistical Software). Candidates with teaching experience in a similar position, academic publications, and significant progress towards a PhD are required. Experience in course coordination will be an advantage.
The successful applicant will also be expected to:
? Actively participate in research
? Teach both undergraduate and postgraduate courses
? Supervise Postgraduate research
? Participate actively in the running of the School through administration and academic citizenship activities.
Minimum Requirements
- Coursework Master's degree in Economics (or closely related fields) with transcript evidence of courses completed in Heterodox and Mainstream economics
- Demonstrated teaching experience in PG supervision
- Evidence of peer-reviewed research publications
- Proven proficiency in R software
