    Job Purpose

    Coordinate and deliver high-quality, cost-effective instruction and training for both AMOS and regulatory to maintain a high standard and safety orientated regulatory requirements of South African Airways and third-party in accordance with local and international airworthiness standards. Plan, direct and oversee human resources activities and staff of an organisation.

    Qualifications & Experience

    Grade Twelve (Matric) or Equivalent Trade Test in appropriate trade / skill. Part certification in appropriate area of expertis OR Must be an appointed Senior Aviation Instructor (Technical) in appropriate trade / skill. 4. Must have 5 years aviation experience post apprentice training

    Principal Accountabilities

    1. Planning and Alignment -    Help SAAT address gaps in skills and competencies by providing engaging training that proactively suits employees' and     organisational needs. -    Serve as a key training advisor to the business and contribute to the design of the overall HR&T strategy. -    Collaborate with other relevant HR units and line managers to key gaps in performance metrics. 2. Training Solution Design -    Contribute to AMOS and regulatory design, and safety, health and environment training strategy, plans, schedule, catalogues,     processes and procedures. -    Contribute to developing training content in line with the overall training strategy and plan with a focus on on-demand courses. -    Research the training requirements through a needs analysis with SAAT and 3rd party customers. -    Identify skill gaps, recommend capability development, and design training programmes on behalf of the HR&T for the business              units. -    Analyse findings, design training programs and develop training objectives and content. -    Develop and compile training material, curriculum guides and instructional plans and obtain approval from the Manager:         Compliance  and Type Training. -    Update all training material as required by the manufacturer and operators - Source and develop an assessment to measure learner competence. 3. Training Operations Delivery -    Prepare for delivery of training and confirm all the logistical requirements for the training (venue, materials, etc.). -    Deliver training and adapt learning resources/aids as per the specific outcomes and level of the target group. -    Facilitate contact and video training sessions. -    Conduct assessments and administer and record assessment results. -    Participate in assessment validation sessions. -    Plan and conduct moderation of assessments. -    Arrange for the close-off of the contract job account number for billing of 3rd-party customers for both AMOS and regulatory. 4. Continuous Improvement and Capacity Building -    Continuously assess and prioritise AMOS and regulatory training activities based on ongoing project budget, risks, and mitigations. -    Review course evaluations against course objectives and provide recommendations for improvement. -    Use relevant technologies and platforms to ensure a positive learner experience by proactively seeking out information to solve              business requests. -    Identify trends to build skills and increase learner preparedness and efficiency by applying best practices. -    Drive cost-effective measures within own area of work to ensure operational effectiveness, profitability and sustainability. 5. Compliance, Data and Reporting -    Adhere to all HR policies, procedures, occupational health and safety, and safety management systems to ensure availability of all         relevant documentation. -    Maintain the training information system to ensure that all content is relevant and up to date to support all reporting and                 compliance requirements to ensure data integrity and reliable reporting to the relevant stakeholders. -    Analyse trends and provide statistics and input to the Senior Manager for a monthly report to the HR&T HOD. -    Adhere and comply with the relevant policies, processes and procedures, and applicable external regulations. -    Identify and report on training anomalies.
