Electrical Assistant

Key Responsibility Areas:

• Undertakes the operation of equipment and general labouring tasks as directed.
• Prepares tools and materials for use by the Supervisor, keeping them ready for tasks at hand
and attends to the preparation of the work site.
• Undertakes the loading, coupling and de-coupling of trailers, compressors and other relevant equipment to vehicles for towing purposes.
• Checks the operating condition, connecting and starting equipment and machinery in
accordance with standard reporting procedures and reports deviations to the Supervisor.
• Performs the physical installation, positioning of electrical equipment and installation and
removal of meters/ready boards.
• Inspects work sites services for suspected tampering and illegal connections in conjunction
with the Supervisor.
• Cleans work sites, store equipment and tools and load materials prior to departure from work site.
• Complies with safety standards and ensures a safe working environment.
