    Requirements

    A grade 12 certificate and NQF level 7 qualification in Financial Accounting or Auditing or Equivalent qualification as recognised by SAQA. At least three (3) years’ relevant experience at supervisory level in financial accounting or auditing field. Knowledge of government banking procedures, Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations, DORA, Financial delegations, Departmental Policies and Procedures and Basic Accounting System (BAS). Knowledge of Suspense Accounts, Personnel Staff Code as well as PSCBC Resolution 3 of 1999. Must have good communication (verbal and written) skills, analytical skills, problem solving skills. Must be computer literate, have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive. Be Knowledgeable with Transversal Systems i.e. BAS/SAP, BAS/MEDSAS, BAS/PERSAL, BAS/Assets, BASs/Parking & Accommodation

    Duties

    Produce complete and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Coordinate request for information (RFI), communication of audit findings and liaise with the Auditor General of South Africa (AGSA) and other relevant stakeholders. Ensure complete and accurate processing of sundry payments, efficient recordkeeping and banking, ensure effective movement of debtors and loss control (in respect of irregular expenditure, fruitless and wasteful expenditure and unauthorized expenditure). Manage personnel and risk management. Ensure effective management of revenue, budget management, expenditure and liaison with SCM
