Job Overview
To assist the principal in managing the school and promoting the education of learners in a proper manner. To maintain a total awareness of the administrative procedures across the total range of school activities and functions.
Formal Qualifications and Inherent Requirements
Qualifications Required
A post graduate qualification in education management and leadership (Recommended)
A recognized three year (REQV 13) qualification which includes professional teacher education. (Essential)
A four year (REQV 14) qualification which includes professional teacher education. (Recommended)
Registration as a Professional Teacher with the South African Council for Educators (SACE)/proof of registration (Essential)
Work Experience Required
5 years teaching experience (Essential)
Recommendations
- Relevant experience - Utilising technology / ICT in the classroom - Experience in a promotion post (acting or permanent) - Applicants must be suitably qualified and prepared to teach the stated subjects from Grade 8 - 12 - Knowledge of SIAS Policy (Screening, Identification, Assessment and Support Policy) and White Paper 6. - Experience and/or knowledge of behavioural modification strategies. - Experience and/or knowledge in developing individual development plans for learners

Drive curriculum excellence using CMT/CDT tools and ATPs. This role integrates academic accountability with discipline, collaborating with Grade Heads on learner conduct and at-risk interventions.
