Job Overview

To assist the principal in managing the school and promoting the education of learners in a proper manner. To maintain a total awareness of the administrative procedures across the total range of school activities and functions.

Formal Qualifications and Inherent Requirements

Qualifications Required

A post graduate qualification in education management and leadership (Recommended)

A recognized three year (REQV 13) qualification which includes professional teacher education. (Essential)

A four year (REQV 14) qualification which includes professional teacher education. (Recommended)

Registration as a Professional Teacher with the South African Council for Educators (SACE)/proof of registration (Essential)

Work Experience Required

5 years teaching experience (Essential)

Recommendations

- Experience in a promotion post (acting or permanent)- Experience and/or knowledge in implementing DCAPS and differentiated assessment.- Knowledge of SIAS Policy (Screening, Identification, Assessment and Support Policy) and White Paper 6.- Experience and/or knowledge in developing individual development plans for learners- Involvement in sport and cultural activities

Other

Knowledge and Experience of Building Blocks, SGB Functionality tool, SIM, SSE, APIP, AAPR, QMS, PERMIS, Finance and fundraising. Time tabling, Learner Discipline LTSM will be an added advantage.
