Job Overview
To engage in class teaching, be responsible for the effective functioning of the department and to organise relevant/related extra-curricular activities so as to ensure that the subject, learning area or phase and the education of the learners is promoted in a proper manner.
Formal Qualifications and Inherent Requirements
Qualifications Required
A post graduate qualification in education management and leadership (Recommended)
A recognized three year (REQV 13) qualification which includes professional teacher education. (Essential)
A four year (REQV 14) qualification which includes professional teacher education. (Recommended)
Registration as a Professional Teacher with the South African Council for Educators (SACE)/proof of registration (Essential)
Work Experience Required
3 Years teaching experience (Essential)
Recommendations
- Experience and/or knowledge in implementing DCAPS and differentiated assessment.- Knowledge of SIAS Policy (Screening, Identification, Assessment and Support Policy) and White Paper 6.- Experience and/or knowledge of behavioural modification strategies. - Involvement in sport and cultural activities

Fundraising Skills with fresh fundraising ideas. Managing and coordinating Sport, extra mural and recreational activities. Disciplinary Committee experience and management of classroom management.
