    The SANC currently has the following vacancy, and candidates that meet the requirements as provided are invited to apply:

    Requirements

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Grade 12 Undergraduate Nursing Degree Minimum five (5) years’ experience practising as a Professional Nurse Postgraduate qualification in Nursing Education or Clinical specialisation in Nursing Minimum three (3) years’ working experience as a Nurse Educator in higher education (College or University) or in Nursing Practice environment after obtaining postgraduate qualification Valid Annual Practicing Certificate Valid driver’s license  ADDED ADVANTEGE REQUIREMENTS Working experience in coordinating and/or implementing CPD programme/ activities. Working experience in coordinating and or conducting Evidence Based Research. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Willingness to travel extensively and beyond working hours within the Basic Conditions of Employment Act provisions. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE Knowledge, interpreting and application of the Nursing Act Nursing act, National Health Act, Mental Health Act and relevant regulations. Understanding, interpreting and application of Health and Nursing Legislation, including relevant Acts, CPD Framework and other Legislation relevant to Nursing Knowledge, understanding, interpreting and Implementation of the SANC CPD system. Knowledge, interpreting and application of SANC Regulations for Professional Practice. Health and Nursing Legislation, including relevant health legislation and other relevant Acts. Knowledge, interpreting relevant legislation outside that impact on Nursing Practice e.g. National Health Act, Medicines and Related Substances Control Act, etc. High quality report writing and presentation skills Stakeholder engagement knowledge  REQUIRED COMPETENCIES / SKILLS Job knowledge Technical skills Problem solving skills Report writing skills Acceptance of responsibility Quality of work Reliability Initiative Communication Interpersonal relationships Flexibility Teamwork Planning and execution  KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Contribute to the development of the Annual Performance Plan, Annual Operational Plan and the CPD implementation plan. Implement CPD in line with Council strategy and provisions of the Nursing Act. Contribute to the development required processes and documentation to enable CPD implementation as required. Evaluation of applications from Institutions/Organisations and individuals for recognition as CPD providers. Contribute to development and review of policies, standard operating procedures, frameworks, internal controls and systems within the area of specialization. Monitor compliance to CPD implementation by Nurse Practitioners and CPD Providers Identifying and reporting inherent risks within the CPD section. Liaison with internal and external stakeholders with matters related CPD. Liaise and respond to CPD related enquiries via email, telephone and attend to walk -in clients as and when required. Conducting support visits to provinces, health establishments on CPD implementation related matters. Assist with managing and analysing CPD implementation and compliance data. Compile CPD implementation and compliance reports. Supporting Council Committees and assist with presenting reports to Council and stakeholders as and when required. Perform ad hoc tasks as delegated by the line manager/ supervisor; and Manage resources (human, financial, physical and information). Evaluation of registration applications from Institutions/Organisations and individuals on CPD courses Review of Certification of other professional bodies/events Conduct road shows and site visits as delegated. Stakeholder liaison Support of Council Committees.
