    The Wits Business School (WBS) is seeking an experienced and highly organised Office Coordinator to manage and coordinate international study tours and student exchange programmes. The successful candidate will oversee the planning and delivery of global mobility initiatives, ensuring seamless travel logistics, effective stakeholder engagement, and an enriching international experience for students. Working closely with academic staff, international partners, service providers, and students, the incumbent will contribute to strengthening WBS's global partnerships and internationalisation strategy.

    Key responsibilities

    • Coordinate and manage all aspects of international study tours, including travel, accommodation, transport, visas, risk management, and logistics.
    • Develop and implement study tour itineraries aligned with academic objectives
    • Coordinate incoming and outgoing student exchange programmes, including application processes, orientations, and ongoing student support.
    • Liaise with international partner institutions, travel agencies, accommodation providers, and other service providers.
    • Develop and manage study tour budgets, monitor expenditure, and reconcile financial records.
    • Ensure compliance with University policies, international travel regulations, health and safety requirements, and visa processes.
    • Maintain Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs) with international partner institutions.
    • Maintain accurate programme records and prepare reports on study tours and student exchange activities.
    • Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support international partnerships and student mobility initiatives.
    Minimum academic requirements
    • A bachelor?s degree in hospitality management, Tourism, Business Management, or a related field.
    • A minimum of five (5) years' relevant experience coordinating events, travel, or international programmes within a higher education or international environment.
    • Demonstrated experience in project coordination, stakeholder management, budget administration, and international travel logistics.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with travel management systems.
    • Excellent organisational, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
