Requirements
A recognized RVQ 13/14 qualification, which includes a knowledge base of
either Curriculum, ESSS or Management and Governance. Registration with SACE as
professional educator. Nine 9 years' experience in the educational field. A
Valid drivers' license. Sound understanding and knowledge of governance
management. Management of Diversity. Understanding performance management systeMs
Knowledge of the constitution as well as other relevant Acts and Policies.
Experience in research on the latest developments related to curriculum
transformation. A good understanding of Matrix management. Knowledge and
understanding of ICT in Education, as it relates to teaching and learning in
the classroom. A sound understanding of curriculum transformation issues and
capacity building processes in education. Interpret, analyse and apply current
legislation and departmental policies. Supervisory, organizational and
interpersonal skills. Proven written, report writing, verbal and communication
skills. Computer Literacy - MS Word, Ms Excel, MS Power Point and MS Outlook.
Knowledge of Education Sector will be added advantage.
Duties
Responsible for coordinating and overseeing education management,
curriculum support, institutional development, and learner support services
across districts within the Cluster. Ensure the effective implementation of
departmental policies, operational plans, and standardised systems in schools
and districts. Monitoring school functionality and learner performance,
coordinating social support programmes, strengthening governance and
accountability, supporting districts with operational challenges, and ensuring
effective management of human, financial, physical, and LTSM resources.
Facilitate collaboration between districts and Head Office within a matrix
management framework, oversees policy implementation and strategic initiatives,
manage staff performance and development, and compile performance and
compliance reports to support improved service delivery and educational
outcomes. Conduct ongoing research on education delivery issues within
districts. Monitor the implementation of the Mother Tongue Based Bilingual
Education (MTBBE), Incremental Introduction of African Language (IIAL) and
Early Childhood Development including the Numeracy and Reading Programmes.
Monitor and coordinate the implementation of the rationalisation and
realignment of school programme in districts.
