Position : Officer: Housing, Land and Estate
Salary : R 355 841.00 – R 461 898.00 p.a (Task Grade 11)
Requirements: -
? A recognized National Diploma in Town and Regional Planning
? A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
? Registration with a professional body will be an added advantage
? Be able to work long hours to meet the deadlines
? Valid driver’s license
Duties: -
? Coordinate rural and integrated housing development projects through the entire
project lifecycle
? Facilitate disaster emergency housing applications
? certificates and verify outcomes prior to approving payment certificates
? Validate list of housing applications, table report for consideration and submit to
immediate supervisor for further processing
? Address complex technical issues and disseminate professional advice associated with
the objectives and outcomes of the functionality
? Maintain an accurate register and database of municipal land
? Facilitate administrative processes relating to acquisition, leasing and disposal of
municipal land
? Assist with the identification and packaging of municipal land for development
? Supporthousingandlanddevelopmentinitiativesinaccordancewiththemunicipality’s
IDP, SDF and applicable land use management framework
? Interact with the relevant stakeholders in the implementation of the SDF and precinct
plan and submit same to the immediate superior for further processing
? Implement the strategies from the SDF and precinct plans
? Assist with the review process of the SDF and precinct plans on an annual basis
? Implement the Land Use Scheme through land use and land development applications
and the Land Use Scheme Register
? Apply suitable GIS Database and attribute tables for data analysis
? Capture information on the GIS system to ensure that information is always up to date
and available
? Undertake land use inspection and recommend actions to be taken
? Develop notices to transgressors to cease illegal use activities on municipal land and
submit to immediate superior for verification
