    Requirements

    Senior Certificate / Grade 12 plus six (6) years’ experience in DHIS or Diploma / Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Statistic / Information Management as recognized by SAQA with three (3) relevant experience in DHIS. Advanced computer literacy. Presentation and data analysis skills. Extensive knowledge of Health Information systems. Ability to work under pressure. Knowledge of public health indicators and data elements. Advanced knowledge in the management of registers and all relevant source documents. Knowledge of data quality assessment tools and methods. Skills in data consolidation, verification and validation process. A valid driver’s licence.

    Duties

    Conduct database management of DHIS in the hospital and other relevant systems. Conduct facility data and performance review meetings. Conduct data verification, validation and consolidation of hospital data from all sources. Timeously capture data on the Web-DHIS and upload into the system. Support DHIS version updates and workshops relating to new versions. Support implementation of National, Provincial and District Health Information systems. Conduct data quality audit for the facility and quality improvement plans. Monitor implementation of health information policies.
