Job Purpose
The Western Cape Mobility Department, Western Cape Government, has an opportunity for a suitably qualified, competent and dynamic individual to provide routine administrative and clerical support to the Freight and Logistics Directorate. The successful incumbent must be able to work under pressure, willingness to work irregular hours and meet tight deadlines.

Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification)

Key Performance Areas
General Administration including: procure goods and services, process payments, draft and type documentation,maintain databases and registers; Execute meetings and event logistics including: scheduling, preparing minutes, following up on actions, making travel arrangements; Provide project support, including handling enquiries; Execute effective document management.
Competencies
Knowledge of the following: Administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms and other office procedures and terminology; Applicable legislative and regulatory requirements, policies and standards; Public Service financial legislations, processes and procedures.Skills in the following:Numeracy skills; Literacy skills; Language skills; Computer literacy.
