Job Purpose
The Department of Local Government, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to provide support in promoting public participation through the coordination and facilitation of activities related to the institutionalisation of ward committees and Community Work Programme.
Minimum Requirements
An appropriate 3 year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification); A minimum of 1 year relevant experience.

Key Performance Areas
Provide administrative support, monitor and facilitate the implementation and effectiveness of ward committees and community work programme; Facilitate the establishment and functionality of the community work programme local stakeholders’ committees and continuously coordinate the involvement of relevant stakeholders, including the local development partners; Assist with gathering, assessment and management of ward committees and community work programme information; Provide administrative support to the sub-directorate: ward committees and community work programme as regards administrative, financial, human resource management and communication needs; Provide administrative support to municipal support actions; Governance and stakeholder support; Financial, human resource and resource administration.
Competencies
