    Duties (key result areas/outputs)

    Utilise the Cook Chill System, prepare, cook, plate and regenerate and serve meals and beverages for the patients in accordance with the PAWC Food Service Policy. Follow standardised PAWC recipes and menus. Clean and maintain the kitchen area and equipment and adhere to health and safety regulations. Communicate with patients and Kitchen staff and feedback problems and recommendations to the Food Service Supervisor.

    Competencies (knowledge/skills)

    Knowledge of production for normal and therapeutic diets in a foodservice unit. Knowledge Of HACCP and safety principles.

    Inherent requirements of the job

    Ability to workday/night shifts (weekends and public holidays). Must be willing to enter all types of hospital wards and serve the patients. Ability to do work of a physical nature, which includes lifting heavy objects and being on one's feet the entire day.

    Minimum educational qualification

    Basic numeracy and literacy.
