Requirements
Associate Professor:A PhD degree in Psychology or a related fieldA professional Masters degree in Research Psychology. The School of Social Sciences is well established with a strong research profile and has a large number of undergraduate and postgraduate students.The school has an active Psychology discipline with a strong research profile, and a large number of postgraduate students within a vibrant postgraduate research programme.The incumbent will be expected to contribute to teaching and research within the discipline of psychology. S/he will also be expected to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum development, and supervise postgraduate students. For the position of Associate Professor, in addition to the ability to teach in generic modules in psychology, it is recommended that the incumbent should be able to teach in one or more of the following: research methods (mixed methods, qualitative, and/or quantitative), research ethics, monitoring and evaluation).The incumbent will report to the Head of Discipline: Psychology.
