    MSINGA MUNICIPALITY EXTERNAL ADVERTISEMENT: ICT MANAGER Msinga Municipality situated at Tugela Ferry has a vacant permanent post for ICT MANAGER ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ VACANT POST : ICT MANAGER SALARY SCALE : TASK GRADE 14: R520 036.68 PER ANNUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POST: • Grade 12 • Degree in Information Technology (NQF 7) or any equivalent qualification. • Postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage. • Valid driver’s license • Computer Literate • 5 years’ experience in IT field. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Keeping abreast with technological developments in the information technology and communications environment with specific emphasis on improving networking, accessibility and performance of systems, applications, and tools. • Evaluating and commenting on the applicability of specific key ICT performance indicators and measures against outcomes detailed in the departments Business and Strategic Plans. • Assessing the operating capacity of specific and/ or compatibility of specific user systems with respect to the installation of new applications based on functional, establishment and amendment of procedural applications. • Aligning current procedures to satisfy legislative requirements with respect to acquisition processes, software development and asset control. • Interpreting and analyzing audit findings and investigational reports with a view to determining levels of interventions required to improve procedural applications. • Monitoring and implementing corrective measures to rectify deviations/ acts contrary to financial regulations, audit requirements and departmental procedure. • Communicating with the Council’s Financial Section and the Senior Management on audit findings and recommendations and institutes the necessary investigational or corrective measures. • Participating in various meetings (internal and external forums) and provides comments/ opinions on matters affecting or concerning the functionality.
