POST 3: EPWP: FORENSIC PATHOLOGY SERVICES ASSISTANT [35] MONTHLY STIPEND: R 4 121.76 CENTRES: Pietersburg Hospital Forensic Unit [8], Tshilidzini Hospital Forensic Unit [4], Letaba Forensic Unit [3], Groblersdal Forensic Unit [2], Lebowakgomo Forensic Unit [4], Mokopane Forensic Unit [4], Warmbaths Forensic Unit [2], St Ritas Forensic Unit [3], Maphutha L Malatji [1], Nkhensani [1], Elim [2], Kgapane [1] REQUIREMENTS: A) Qualifications and Competencies ? A minimum of Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification at NQF level 4. ? An undergraduate qualification in Health Science at NQF level 6 will be an added advantage ? A valid driver’s license with Public Driver Permit [PDP] ? Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to a driving test. ? Computer literacy. B) Knowledge and Skills ? Willing to work in a mortuary, handling corpses and perform postmortem. ? Willingness to work with and ability to lift corpses of varying weights. ? Willingness to work with human excereta, fluids including blood and decompose corpose ? Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: ? Admission, storage and release of corpses ? Completion of relevant administrative and legal documents ? Assisting in identification processes. ? Assist in rendering an efficient forensic autopsy process, which includes evisceration, dissection following set standards and guidelines under Forensic Pathologist and Medical Officer’s supervision ? safeguarding exhibits, specimens, specimen statements and reports, including completing and administration of statements and documentation during and after the forensic pathology processes. ? Attendance of court as and when required ? Assist with transportation of corpse from scene to place of post-mortem. ? Cleaning of autopsy room and equipment according to health and safety requirements. ? Preparation of corpses before and after autopsy. ? Will be required to work standby duties [after hours and overtime) ? Adhere to occupational health and safety. ? Assist in the maintenance of mortuary and equipment hygienically in terms of Occupational Health and safety. ?
