EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT: PERMANENT
SALARY SCALE : R582,518.00 – R756,146.00 PER ANNUM (PLUS BENEFITS)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12
- Traffic Diploma
- Advanced Diploma in Road Traffic Management and Municipal Policy or equivalent qualification at NQF level 7.
- Certificate of registration as Traffic Officer with the Department of Transport.
- Five/05 years' experience as a traffic Officer of which three/03 years must be managerial or supervisory experience
- Firearm competency certificate.
- Ability to work odd and extended hours.
- Police Clearance Certificate.
- Valid driving licence.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO)
- To ensure the completion of administrative duties of subordinates in accordance with prescribed legislation and departmental policy.
- Strategic Planning of Traffic Law Enforcement in accordance with departmental instructions for patrols and operations.
- Compile, and consolidate weekly/ monthly shift reports of subordinates production and general progress.
- Monitoring and evaluation of staff performance.
- Provide Traffic reports to different types of media.
- Writing of reports, feedback and recommendations regarding complaints, arrests, occurrences, and defective road infrastructure by submitting reports to the superiors for evaluation and response.
- Performs stand-by duties by being available at work for any extraordinary occurrence after normal working hours.

- Testifies in Court proceedings a sand when called upon by a court of law relating to law activities.
- Report on loss or damage of equipment
- Management and control of the Municipality's Licensing function, incorporating motor vehicle testing and driver/ learner testing.
- Management and control of the Municipality’s Auxiliary Traffic Services.
