POST NAME : EPWP GENERAL WORKERS X 110
EMPLOYMENT STATUS : Twelve (12) Months EPWP Employment Contract
SALARY SCALE : R150.00 per day
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Applicant must be in sound mental and physical health and be willing and able to engage in strenuous physical activities;
• Must be from 18 to 35 years of age due to strenuous physical activities that they will be performing;
• Must be able to use hand tools;
• Must be able to enter and work inside 600mm stormwater pipe;
• Must be able to climb ladder and work in heights;
• Applicant must reside within the King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (but not limited to)
• Receive verbal and lawful instructions from immediate supervisor;
• Clean the surface for preparation of work;
• Digging and backlaying;
• Packing stock into stores when requested;
• Providing general cleaning function;
• Loading and offloading of material;
• Valid Driving Licence Code B upwards
• Police Clearance Certificate
• Registered as Traffic Officer.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (but not limited to)
• Attends to specific activities associated with controlling traffic flow and road safety;
• Monitor and patrol the Municipal area and attends to situation / behaviour deemed inappropriate and no-conforming ;
• Enforce specific by-laws, road traffic and safety regulations and/or attending to specific infringement of road safety rules;
• Attend to the application of specific maintenance sequences with respect to equipment and vehicles;
• Attend to specific procedural administrative requirements, road keeping and reporting deadlines related to the Section;
• Perform all traffic officers duties in terms of National Road Traffic Act No. 93 of 1996.
