    Overview of Role
    AQUITY Innovations NPC, a Section 21 South African-based registered not-for-profit organization, was established in 2010. Our mission is to promote access to quality health and social services through innovations and technology. AQUITY’s programmatic focus areas include HIV, TB, health systems strengthening, capacity development Orphans and Vulnerable Children as well as other interventions targeting key populations.

    AQUITY Innovations NPC has been appointed by the National Department of Health to serve as one of the GLOBAL FUND TB Sub-Recipients (SRs) in South Africa. The project activities are implemented in Mpumalanga (Ehlanzeni district) and Eastern Cape province (Buffalo City Metro and Amathole districts). As such we seek to employ the following:
    TB Support Officer (PPM) * 1 to be based in Mpumalanga, Ehlanzeni District
    Remuneration: R5601.45 Monthly CTC
    Contract end date: 30 March 2028

    Requirements

    Qualification Grade 12 or equivalent Certification as a Community Health Care Worker will be an advantage Experience Experience in health promotion and health education Ability to operate a mobile device Good verbal and written communication skills Good interpersonal skills Good counselling skills Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies : Conflict management and skills Problem solving skills Able to work independently Able to work in a Team Personal Characteristics Please note: Only candidates who are eligible to work in South Africa for an indefinite period without a need for sponsorship will be considered for this position.     Duties

    Responsibilities Conduct TB screening and specimen collection on close contacts of TB patients and other high-risk groups at community level. Capturing daily activities on M&E tools for all PPM activities. Report daily to the supervisor Support adherence clubs to enhance adherence and retention in care for TB patients Conduct patient education and counselling for TB patients. Support Mobile DCXR outreach to increase demand for TB screening services Conduct door-to-door outreaches, Conduct tracing of people (Including TB patients) who miss clinic appointments. Refer those who test positive and sick household contacts to the nearest clinic
