    Directorate: ENVIRONMENTAL AND WASTE MANAGEMENT

    POSITION: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: ENVIRONMENTAL & WASTE MANAGEMENT DURATION: Permanent in line with the Municipal Systems Act, No. 3 of 2022 as amended. The successful candidate will be required to sign an employment contract before commencement of duty, a performance agreement and disclosure of financial interest. REMUNERATION : R1,716 216 (minimum); R1, 757 405 (lower); R1,799 583 (midpoint); R1, 842 773 (Upper) and R1, 887 000 (maximum), as per Government Gazette No 54505 of 14 April 2026 on the determination of upper limits of total remuneration package payable to municipal managers and managers directly accountable to municipal managers. REQUIREMENTS: Bsc. Degree in Environmental Management or equivalent degree qualification, Work-related Experience and competency. 5 years’ experience at Middle Management level; and Have proven successful Environmental and Waste Management experience.
