DATABASE: OCCUPATIONAL PROGRAMS FACILITATORS The Elangeni TVET College is implementing the occupational programs and as part of its planning and preparations, is calling for suitably qualified individuals who wish to be placed in our database to respond to this advert. Requirements
• Must have relevant trade qualification (trade test certificate) or appropriate recognised qualification as per the QCTO assessor registration requirements. • For all non-trade qualifications, an appropriate qualification will be acceptable. • Must have at least 3–5 years of relevant industry experience. Also refer to the QCTO website for more information. • Must be registered as a facilitator and / or assessor. • Registration as a moderator and with NAMB will be an added advantage. • Registration with requisite industry bodies will also be an added advantage. • Excellent communication in English (written and verbal), organizing, planning and administration skills. Ability to monitor students’ performance and provide critical feedback in an objective and professional manner.
Duties
1. Plan for the activities to be performed (knowledge and practical modules). May be required to monitor the students during the time they are placed with the industries. Travelling may be necessary. 2. Perform assimilation and / or practical workshop tasks with the students. 3. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards. 4. Assess students’ performance, provide feedback and remedial work where required. 5. Prepare the required reports as per the program requirements.
